1.
what you thought was opportunity went bust, your dreams crumbled to dust before your eyes. when they wished you well they meant welcome to hell, they'll watch you fry, you'll want to die, you'll want to die. behind your back the cards were staked against you now you see there's nothing you could do. they smelled fresh blood and like sharks they circled in. a shitstorm of teeth and fins, but all were blind. in the frenzy none could see what they had built, a bomb on flimsy stilts, their death warrants signed. behind your back the cards were staked against you now you see there's nothing you could do. behind their backs your blood is boiling black as tar they know you know who they are. there's nothing they can do. in the frenzy none could see what they had built.

i want you to hurt. i want you to feel like me, to cry yourself to sleep as my consolation. the least that you can do is drink enough for two, stumble home to regret and fall asleep in isolation. but is that wrong? are those words for a "friend"? well i guess that depends how all this ends. sometimes the truth's worse than the lie it's all spit in the eye no matter how you phrase them and why it matters which way you choose the words to say the venom you're conveying. but is that wrong? are those words for a "friend"? well i guess that depends how all this ends. i want this to hurt.

15 forever 03:33
looking back at who we used to be. looking back as far as i can see. there's been no change in my eyes inside or outside. you claimed you've moved on but you're still the same to me. you're acting like you always have. to read you i don't need a map: you hide your intentions in plain sight, try to instigate a fight, to find some fool white knight to protect you. look at me and say i'm wrong, this act of yours has played too long. and it's obvious you're never gonna change, you're 15 forever! it's obvious you'll never change, you're always gonna be this way... always gonna be this way.

rising sun 02:42
you're the lump in my throat that i can't choke down the butterflys in my stomach flying around. you're the twitch in my eye that i can't blink out the nagging little detail i keep thinking about. you're the rising sun when i want to sleep in the advice i gave that i should've taken. you're the moonshine shot that blinds my eyes the words on my lips definition defies. you're the sliver in my finger that i can't find the blank shame lurking in the back of my mind. you're the rising sun when i want to sleep in the advice i gave that i should've taken. don't you think i know that i should let you go i'm driving up the lawn because i'm running out of road. you're the medication that makes me ill the empty tape that i can never fill. a diamond ring on a tarnished hand a secret prayer i'll never understand. you're the rising sun when i want to sleep in the advice i gave that i should've taken.

headlong 03:44
the lightning was spectacular as the waves upon the shore. the thunder drowned out everything as we texted back and forth. sleep was had but fitfully between the thunderclaps and cops. driving north in pending dawn; through a myriad of blues. sinking in so gradually: the feeling of familiarity, the rambling ruins of alba, the railroads rotting roadside. as town upon town recedes, tree upon tree advances. the white noise of rain on my windshield hypnotizes. i hurtle headlong into nothing leaving emptiness behind, scanning each horizon for any indicating sign. my harbor soon afoot imagine shooting through the clouds; no longer confined by the gauze of uncertainty nor blinded by fears' suffocating shroud. i hurtle headlong into nothing leaving emptiness behind, scanning each horizon for any indicating sign.
