about
this is a song that began a few years earlier. i never really had a version of it that i was particularly happy with. this rendition began with me messing around on an old drum machine. as i was overdubbing live drums a thunderstorm rolled in which i recorded after drums with a sock over my condenser mic stuck out the window of my 3rd story "studio". i wonder if nature is going to want performance credits on this?
lyrics
the music's loud and thumpin'
and everybody's jumpin'
nothing matters now
there's no way you can talk me down...
talk me down...
you move through the room
and through me oh, can't you see
that this is magic
and you're not so tragic after all...
after all...
you think you're really something
well nobody's nothin
call me wrong
may i have this dance?
you say you love this song
the feeling is too strong
to run away
pretend there are no second chances.
not tonight.

one word: atmosphere. after hearing these songs live and digging the feel of the "demo" versions it's nice to hear it all in a cohesive package. somewhere between the raveonettes and charletons UK. wctm gold!
chock full of fun rock rumpus' equal parts 13th floor elevators and ventures; weird, charming and just a bit obtuse. glad to hear the songs sound just as good recorded as they translate live. wctm gold!
The Cleveland band temper uncompromising metalcore breakdowns with infectious jangle-pop melodies and ample dark humor.
